Why you always use Comodoro? everybody here knows that its warmer than normal, even places further north like Trelew has Colder averages and record lows, why you dont use Puerto Aysen for example? are you trying to pass an image that Coastal Patagonia is very warm?

Like I said in the winter thread, coastal Patagonia is very warm in winter for the latitude. STOP BEING IN DENIAL.
Trelew and Puerto Aysen are also very good for the latitude in winter. Compare with Vladivostok, Boston and Montreal and you will see what I mean.
Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, Argentina which is a place on the EAST coast
You are getting a bit bothersome with Comodoro lately, which is as a place on the East coast as Ipswich or Christchurch are (some climate traits, not fully developed).
Anyway, I guess the correct answer is Astoria, where a species like Trachycarpus fortunei are actually cultivated. Good luck trying to make plam trees grow in a dry, dusty, wind-swept place where snowflakes can appear in late spring, even though temperatures never go very low.

I am just tired of all you south American posters trying to deny how mild Comodoro Rivadavia is... it really bothers me because it's wrong.
Comodoro can absolutely grow more palms than Astoria because it doesn't have a large continent attached to it and as long as there is irrigation then there would be no problem with many palm species there
