In an average year the last sub 50 high of spring will be in the first half of May! While the first sub 50 high of fall will occur usually anywhere from Oct 10-25! So that is only 5 months that are gauranteed to not be cold
That's hardly extreme. Try your average low being above 70 F from April 28 until November 1. And even though that's completely against my preferences, I still would hardly call it extreme. Just because the weather isn't to your liking or uncomfortable, doesn't make it extreme.

Rochester has warmer average highs than here from April to October, though I would presume Rochester sees snow in April way more frequently than we do. I definitely don't think of winter lasting from October to April anyway.

We also get highs below 10C in May sometimes, like this year our last sub-50F high was on 25 May. I don't think anyone is going to describe our climate as extreme anytime soon.

Our average low is 70+ from May 14-Oct 5th (only 5 weeks less than you), and avg low is 80+ from Jun 18-Sep 10, but again I'll take that over "The Grey Curtain" any day

But you live in one of the most dreadful climates in the US. Maybe somewhere like San Diego or San Jose would be much nicer for you?

Not only does Rochester get more potenital for snow in April, but in MAY TOO. It's really ridiculous

Five weeks is a big difference. Anyways, Phoenix is rather extreme in the summer. Average highs above 100 F for nearly four months is hardly comparable to an average high of 30 F in the coldest month.

Hardly. All I'm saying is people throw around the word "extreme" too much, anything uncomfortable is extreme to some people.
