Fastest stretch of riding I've done (flat, light tailwind, had bags with ~5 kg on rear) was 17 km at 31.2 km/hr. Trying to make a train, watched it pull out

That's rather good: I did 29 km/h last year, but it wasn't completely flat, granted I designed it to incorporate a net downhill balance of 30 metres but I also had to deal with headwind for the first 7 km so that more than cancelled that one out. Had I been dropped off by car in Jönåker and started there in the tailwind I'd done 31.2 that evening since I was on fire 25C, low sun etc...

Went and saw the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie last night. The easily offended Contraxians, are seriously funny.

I don't record times, speed etc, but I once pedaled from St Arnaud to Blenheim (about 100km) in about three hours. I started at around 680 meters and had about 30km of downhill, and then a strong tailwind after that. I left just before sunrise, and was in Blenheim for breakfast.

Not comparable to a flat ride, but it was a buzz nonetheless.

19.9 mile ride tonight, a spin-off of two evenings ago but this time added a trip south of town at the end as well!

With all those hills, twists and turns + pretty good pace (15.3 mph) in spite of it more looking like an asphalted mountainbike ride and just 11-12C outside I'm pretty proud, but rather exhausted.

I feel just as bad in my legs tonight as when I ran 11 km in 46 once...

I just do weight training + 13-20miles on Stationary Bike and that's enough for me to maintain weight.

How'd you learn what weights to use for training?

I regularly bounce between aesthetic beach physique and middle-aged beer drinker physique.

I have a gym in my house at home and I can look it up online. It's not hard.
