I've experienced 80F+ DP's in the Middle East, and they're pretty brutal tbh. On an evening after work, we'd go sit on our terrace that we shared, and all the tables and chairs would be wet. Obviously it hadn't rained, as it never rains there, but the humidity used to soak everything. Constant sweat pouring down your face whenever you stepped outside too.
It makes me laugh when people in England mention the weather here being really 'muggy'. Some people just don't have a clue what real humidity feels like.

It's all down to what you're accustomed to, that's all. A 25C day with an 18C dew point feels kind of muggy to me, doesn't matter if somewhere in the Middle East gets 80F dew points.
how often does a dewpoint 80°F or above happen in Miami?
About once a year usually. Dewpoints in the 75F-78F though are commonplace during the summer here, and Alex is right, when the dewpoint is above 70F, each degree brings a very noticeable change in the way the air feels.
I haven't either; might have briefly experienced 78°F during a thunderstorm. 70°F and 75°F is an obvious difference to me; so 70°F and 80°F would be even higher
I think my highest is 78 F or so. While 70 F is uncomfortable, mid-to-upper 70s is noticeably higher level of discomfort.
Had to leave work early Monday morning as some inspectors found asbestos in the hangar. The building has been condemned until further inspections are carried out, so no work until further notice. Full pay too shame it's the middle of winter though.
