So by July 28, 38/61 or 62.3% of the 90 degree days had been recorded. If that ratio stands for 2016, we should expect 73-74 90-degree days. I think the final number will be close to this; I would err on the side of slightly less, perhaps 65.

We had as many 90+ days in 2016 through June 26 as were in all of 2004.
Phoenix has 93 as of today, 92 by this time last year.

Since this day, only two didn't make it to 90 F. So now we're up to 65 days.

10 so far, still no 95F though.

Elvas, a small town in the southeast, close to the border, failed to reach 90F just once this July, current average high is 100.9F.

We failed to reach 90F just 3 times this July. On July 27, the high was just 84F as it stayed overcast much of the day (some rain in the area but heaviest was to the north).

The warmest temp has been 99F.

^^

Believe it or not in July of 1936, there were a couple of stations within 70 miles of the city of Chicago, that had an average high of over 100F.

Collegeville is about 50 miles from the city of Chicago.

MDW has 16 days at or above 90F/32.2C so far this warm season

There are 3 day this coming week forecast to reach or surpass 90F. That would bring the total to 19 days, and we still have August and September. Normal number of days is 23 for MDW.

The last three days each reached 90 F (32 C) so up to 68 days now. By the end of August, I expect to be at about 95 days.
