MDW has 25, not 26. I dont care what Tom Skillin says, hes been wrong with stats.
Use link, zoom in. Its there. Has 25
There are two stations titled Midway. Midway AP which os actually on the airport grounds, and the coop station titled Midway SW3 nearby, that retired NWS met Frank Wachowski operates. Maybe one has 25, and the other 26?

My prediction of 76 for the year seems a bit low, with today (Sept 12) forecast to hit 89 and Sept 13-15 forecast of 90+. But my range was 70-82. By Sept. 20 we'll probably be at 79 or 80. I bet we'll have 1 or 2 more after Sept. 20. Record for a year is 96 in 2007 so I think that's safe. I'm going to revise my estimate range to 78-82.
I could even see the latest 90 record of October 10 being beaten (about 27% chance). 2005 had a high of at least 89.1 on October 19, but it must have fell JUST shy of 90.

With 90s expected to persist through the next 10 days, it's possible that 2016 will tie or exceed 2011 (105 days) for the most 90°F days in a summer this century. It won't challenge the all-time record in 1925 (117 days), though.
