1.3C record low in Malta since 1947! I'm sure there was snowfall during the last ice age, maybe even quite frequently if the climate was 7C colder. In fact it'd remind a lot of Seattle in that scenario.
It's 1.4C since 1922 at Luqa Airport... There was a 1.2C recorded at the University in Floriana in the 1800's but the Met Office don't use this as "official" as they didn't have WMO standard equipment at that time... I'm sure lots of places had snowfall during the last ice age or were frozen
