More the latter. If you don't go out much and don't meet new people on a regular basis, it's less likely to happen.

Does anyone else feel like a homeless person when they try to grow facial hair out? I've tried to grow it out, but I can never get past the two week mark.

If anything i'm just curious to see what it looks like, i'm not sure it's a style that i'd adopt.

I look more like a homeless person when I do shave, because I can never get a clean shave and my facial hair grows too fast so I get a 5 o clock shadow about 3 hours later and have to shave twice a day.

I never look homeless if I don't shave. Sometimes I get ID'd when I'm clean shaven, even though I'm 29.

Of course, but the trend is still that men are overwhelmingly more likely to start conversations with me. I met lots of new people at college.

I grew facial hair mainly because I have very sensitive skin, so whenever I shave it looks like I got into a fight with Freddy Krueger... I do keep it neatly trimmed though & try to keep my neck shaven as I think that looks less "trampy"
