Okay, give everyone a degree. Then what?

There's still low-skilled jobs that have to be worked.

I'm only highlighting to you that people can actually improve their living conditions if they are determined.

Going to be honest. I didn't see too many English people working in McDonalds or any other Service industry job during my time living over there.

Of course they can, but people who work low-skilled, but necessary jobs, just want respectable conditions. That's the whole gyst of their grievances.

Nobody's asking for everyone to have a huge house and a 30k wage because that's unrealistic.

Why are we even having this debate?

Some graduates work in McDonald's. A degree isn't an automatic pass to a good job.

A guy who has a PhD in maths was sacked from my workplace recently, he was earning the same as me.

I was last in England about a week ago in Stansted.. Only saw one or two English people working in the umpteem service places.

Transport is the only service sector where I see English people in large numbers.

Well it's like 97% British around here so obviously a lot of local people do work those jobs, or else nobody would.

The volume you and few others were responding was rather ridiculous. And you went of your way to find lots of stuff I never noticed. Most memorable time was when a few of you hijacked the photo thread for a couple of not particularly interesting photos of his when there was plenty of other better photos.
