I was joking of course. The unemployment though, that is high in Spain
Is high for western European standards, although I'm tired to post sources which say that most unemployed Spaniards do work without contract (because many apply to welfare too) and almost half of unemployeds are immigrants XD.
Wonder why Spain has the biggest life expectancy of Western Europe if it also has 17% of unemployment? Haha exactly.
Btw you're right yes, officially it's high. Not that high for SW Europe but shocking for a Brit. Your unemployment is barely 5%, right? Wow. Spain barely was 2 years in its history with an unemployment rate under 10%
Like I said, this is not new (working without contract and applying on welfares. You pay less taxes, free meds, etc) even when the jobs were hanging on the trees and you were earning 2500-3000€ a month as a construction worker (2004-2008) still the unemployment was in the 9-10%!
But not all are "advantages", because this doesn't count as working years for the pension or for to apply for a decent job so still it's crap. I work with contract since I was 20 yo.
