No I don't consider Finland to be part of Western Europe no. International agencies define Western Europe as something along the lines of Germany, Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Belgium and others.
I would agree with this.. I don't see how anyone could say (within reason) that Finland is in Western Europe.
I'll be going over to vote shortly. I think I've decided how to vote on all the other ballot question & candidates (on the presidential question, I decided a long time ago...)
I tend to disagree. Finland has been a part of the West for over 1000 years, no matter in what language group we are in. There is no reason why Finland wouldn't be considered anything but Western Europe.
Do you think the American government would approve of Finland's involvement/links with Russia?
(Look at the Presidential Debates and see what Hillary has to say about Russia)
Finland still isn't classified by most as a constituent country of Western Europe. It's geographic location and cultural position contributes to this.
Culturally Finland is as much a part of the West than any other Western European country. All institutions acknowledge this. Your "I feel like" arguments won't fly.
But tell me about the links and involvement with Russia you claimed earlier.
