On another note dunno. Given that you cringed at full US-Russia relations being resumed, what do you as a gay person think of the special friendship between all previous British governments (including Labour) and the gay-executing Saudis?
I support gay marriage 100 % but am highly skeptical over gay adoption since I believe the state should contribute to kids growing up in a nuclear family as the ideal option.
So I'm halfway conservative, halfway liberal on that issue.

I can understand that - though I don't think two men raising a child will destroy the family unit like some conservatives seem to think.
I don't really like kids anyway so I don't see myself adopting or anything.

That is not my position, I just think of what's best for the child. I'm against single women adopting as well. Having kids is not a human right, and kids raised by one mother and one father tend to do far better in society
For me it's been very important to have my mum and dad together. I had a girlfriend a few years back who hardly ever met her dad growing up, that must have been horrible

Maybe it's the ideal, but gay parents are better than single parent families which are very common.

I read somewhere that in the US, children raised by two women actually do better than children raised by a man and a woman, though the sample size is smaller.
Me and my sister were raised by a single mother and we both turned out fine. Having no dad is better than having a bad dad.
