She's not old or anything, she's reasonably active but she clearly cannot push herself as hard as she did at 30/31 and finds it harder and gets out of breath easier. She doesn't even smoke now but did when she was 30.
Interesting.

I just feel much as same as I've ever felt -energy, strength, flexibility, endurance etc, and any decline has been so gradual, as to not really be noticeable.

I think maintaining strength ( unavoidable in my type of work/lifestyle) plays a big part in how one feels in the still relatively young 50s.... that and the good fortune to not have any major illness.

The "foreignors" exceeded 6% of the population last year. We are reaching critical mass.

Native language,

Finnish: 88.7%
Swedish: 5.3%
Sami: 0.0%
Others: 6.0%

Kronan's favourite Ilomantsi is still 98% Finnish-speaking (and probably the rest 2% Russian), so his refuge is safe. Helsinki will reach 15% "foreignor" maybe already this year.

60-65% of the immigrants are from Europe. Swedes, Norwegians and Danish aren't shown, as by language they are statistically considered "domestic".

The ten largest foreign language speaking groups in order are: Russian, Estonian, Somali, English, Arabic, Kurdish, Chinese, Albanian, Persian/Farsi, Thai.

After them: Viet, Turkish, Spanish, German, Polish.

There are hardly any Latvians and Lithuanians in Finland. They all went to Norway and the UK.

Not enough to get Ann Coulter shocked.

19% of Leeds' population was born abroad. 7.8% come from the EU, and 11.3% come from outside the EU. This was in 2011, so it will be higher for sure now. Population is growing by 1% a year and almost all of it it is from inward migration. If it wasn't for inward migration Leeds' population would either be declining or static, because there is nearly an equal number of births and deaths.

Too many foreignors!

Yeah, but you have a way longer history of immigration than we do. In 1990 2% of the populace of Helsinki was foreign and 0.4% in the whole country. For us it has been an explosion, but if someone wonders what my policy is, I've always said that if you come to Finland for work, study or love, I welcome everyone.
