I got Libertarian Conservative.

I think the political compass quiz is much more complete than this one in regard to it's ability to pinpoint your political beliefs. I, for example, do believe in a certain measure of ecological and environmental regulation which is something many Liberatariaon Conservatives would not support.

The political compass asks questions like "you cannot be truly moral without being religious", and that doesn't relate to European politics at all.

Seems as if a single issue can greatly sway the results of these quizzes in one direction or another.

If it doesn't relate to you, put the question emphasis bar on very unimportant.

Yes, I did that. Maybe not low enough on the importance scale though.

I consider myself a centrist and would probably be considered a socialist in the US, but I do support some US laws that would probably be considered harsh on here, such as the use of deadly force to protect lives and property from burglars/thieves.

No. The USA is a country (arguably an empire), but it's not a nation. Even if it were a nation, I'm not really a part of it. Therefore, "nationalism" or "fascism" in an American context has no significance or appeal to me.

I only support deadly force in situations where a person's life is in danger and it comes down to a 'you or them' scenario. It's unlikely that a person would be prosecuted for killing someone if they genuinely believed their life was under threat.

I wouldn't support killing someone to protect material possessions, if the intruder is unarmed (if they are armed you could reasonably argue that you thought your life was in danger). I would support a citizens arrest though - and I was reading a story recently of how this man in Leeds chased down a burglar who broke into a neighbouring house and caught him until the police arrived. Apparently this is perfectly fine.
