Describe for me winter in a stable climate? I'm so jealous.

You could say its tropical too because it has recorded mid 80s in winter

Those odd cold snaps are unfortunate, but referring to it as a continental cold winter climate is excessive.

Haha!

Yeah, I end up wishing we could have some American-style blizzards and bitter cold to liven things up a little after we've had a few weeks of this kind of consistency:

It's pretty sweet, every single day you wake up and you know it's going to be mild or at the very worst cool. You don't have to "plan to the weather". Even at the end of winter there are still lots of green trees, I love it. I also love that it's between 14-18c everyday, it's not cold, but it's cool enough that you can enjoy it and wear a comfy sweater each day. This is what winter should be like

Honestly 5c for an entire month would get on my nerves too, of course 5c and 15c are too different things

FL+GA covers over 10 degrees worth of latitude. Florida is more extreme, though. Georgia ranges from 30.5N to 35N whereas Florida ranges from 24.5N near Key West to 31N along the border to Alabama. Almost 6.5 degrees of latitude in a single state is impressive for a state that isn't California, Texas, or Alaska. Illinois is similar.

It's true that Savannah's record low of 3 F is closer to Charlotte's -5 F than it is to Orlando's 18 F. It's winter record high of 86 F is also closer to Charlotte's 82 F than it is to Orlando's 95 F (Did Orlando really get that hot in December? It's higher than their November record high).

I have to agree. They see freezing weather several times over the course of a winter, but it almost always warms up a few days later. Prolonged cold is extremely rare.
