The Super Bowl has been a "thing" here for around 30 years I'd say. Yet every year our media still produces articles explaining the rules and what it's all about to people. So, it's not quite "pervasive".
I would assume that a good chunk of the men in Quebec watched the game last night. Many were likely invited to a party and for some of them it was probably the only NFL game they watched all year. There is also a chunk of the male population that are real NFL junkies here, but they're a minority. But there is another chunk of men that probably could name less than half the teams in the NFL, and maybe don't even fully understand the rules - even if they have a rough idea of how the game is played.
My wife and her friends don't know any of the teams or players and they don't really know the ruies either.
Well, now it's time for college basketball. Hope the cuse can make the tournament. It'll be close, but as long as we take care of bad teams like Clemson and Pitt, we should make it. Congrats on Boeheim's 1000th win even though it doesn't count.
Kentucky has looked pretty bad the last 4 games, including a 22-point blowout to my old favorite team, Florida. More turnovers than assists, and almost no effort on defense. Hopefully Cal can figure out a way to restore team chemistry.
I miss Tom a lot, he was one of the best members on here
What happened to Tom? Where is that freaky guy who knows when everyone last logged on, their real names, birthdates & when they last took a sh*t when you need him?
