I can't believe 1987 was 30 years ago already, or even that this year's kindergartners were born in 2011. Someone born in 1980 is on average at the midpoint of their lifespan now. Time really does fly. Soon it'll be 2050 and even someone born in 2005 will be middle-aged.
Or that today's 16 years olds, and some 17 year olds, were born in 2000 (or 2001).

Yeah, it is kinda crazy.
In three short years, someone born in 2000 will be 20 years old crazy.
People born in 1996 are old enough to drink now lol. And if the drinking age were 18, that would be 1999.
Another crazy thing is that we're halfway from 2000 until 2034. I'm halfway between turning 8 years old and turning 42 (which looking at it isn't that shocking, but I really don't feel I was a little kid that long ago lol).
What blows my mind the most is that there are people alive today whose parents were both born after 2000
Also the thought that I'm only 31 in a couple of weeks (I say only because it honestly doesn't feel that old to me) and yet there are probably people out there my age who are already grandparents.
I have a tendency to think of years as being before or after Ukrainian independence (1991) - prior to 1991 was kind of a dark age in my mind. I was born a year before.

Yeah, I suppose you know you're getting old when half the countries in Eastern Europe weren't on the map when you were born
I usually don't feel old, I turned 18/20/21/etc. in this decade. But it does trip me out sometimes seeing people born in the late 90's look my age, a lot even look older than me.
One part of me is like "where does the time go?", but then I think about it and I've lived through A LOT, and I still have yet to reach a quarter of a century, there's still so much I've yet to accomplish.
