Stupid behavior to leak that, but I think no US law was violated. Could be fired, though.

I don't care, whoever leaked that is compromising our intelligence/security and does not care about the consequences.

We should have them extradited and punished.

They're even leaking against their own President at the minute, there is a complete lack of discipline within the intelligence services. A lot of people were happy to see the leaks against Trump, bit it's now obvious that they can no longer be trusted to keep any kind of secret. Which endangers all of us.

I blame Russian hackers. Theyre at fault for everything

Did you stub your toe? Russian hackers did it. Did you cheat on your girlfriend? It's the Russian hackers' fault. Did you lose house keys? Yup, it's the Russian hackers again

Why would the US comply?

Is that lack of discipline? That's not carelessness but deliberate undermining of the president. Or just aiding the public...

The narrative of blaming hackers is a ridiculous one either way, just don't let them hack you! It's not as if the US isn't hacking them as well.

Russia has always had a better intelligence network than the US, and those in authority can't stand it.

Some would argue that the Wikileaks against the Democrats were aiding the public, depends where you stand.

Leaking photos of a terrorist crime scene certainly wasn't aiding the public either. But it has traumatised many families.

a friend of mine says exactly that [he doesn't really like either party, voted 3rd party]. My bigger issue isn't the leaks themselves but if it was done by a foreign power trying to influence the election.

there was certainly no justification for leaking those. At the very least, not a couple days right after the attack when people are more sensitive and an investigation is ongoing. I think whoever did so should get fired.
