A positive AMO, along with a positive PDO, can lead to a very cold winter in the eastern 2/3rds.. Add a weak La Nina and we might see a very severe winter.
I'll accept a record breaking cold winter as long as it means we get endless 70s from March 1st until June. But obviously that's not happening so I just hope we don't get a repeat of 14/15
As long as Vancouver doesn't get any major snow events for winter 2016-2017, I'll be satisfied
