Went to a Christmas Eve Service last night at our Amherst/Aurora Church. The church was established in 1850 and I as amazed at how tiny people must have been then...Though the pews were padded, being around 5'6," I felt like I was perched on the edge of my seat!
Found it to be a sheet of ice on the road, driveway, and parking lot last night...Should have known the warm-up would end in ice!
Awoke to a Sunny morning and there's still snow covering the ground!

Arctic Sea Ice in the European Arctic as of Dec 23th 2016. No ice near the coast of the Svalbard Archipelago so far this winter. Much of the northern Barents Sea still open water. Ice starting to form in the northern Gulf of Bothnia. White Sea in Russia still mostly open water.
