Merry Christmas. 28°F here. Glaze of frost and ice on ground and roofs. Snow piles still around.

Here in Aurora, ME, 32℉/0℃, Dew Point 25℉/3.89℃, Winds from the West at 14mph/22.53kph

Went to a Christmas Eve Service last night at our Amherst/Aurora Church. The church was established in 1850 and I as amazed at how tiny people must have been then...Though the pews were padded, being around 5'6," I felt like I was perched on the edge of my seat!

Found it to be a sheet of ice on the road, driveway, and parking lot last night...Should have known the warm-up would end in ice!

Awoke to a Sunny morning and there's still snow covering the ground!
It's a White Christmas after all!

Well, it at least dropped into the 40s this morning, so I guess it isn't a complete Christmas fail. Hope everyone has a good holiday.

Is there normally no fast ice in the open ocean parts of the Arctic?

It's now 73.0 F / 22.8 C in Nashville, tying the all-time record set in 1889!

It's warmed up to 63.0 F / 17.2 C in Bowling Green, still 7 F off their all time record.
