February 5-6 Storm Update:

Well...... I might not need updates anymore. Storm still there on the map but a little detail we needed has changed and that change means nothing big for us now.

The 2 systems that were shown to merge together to give us a snowstorm....now..... all models keep those systems SEPERATE!

Still 5-6 days away so lets see if anything changes but this has been the new trend. in fact hand it to the Euro because the Euro never liked the big storm idea much.

Current temps and Radar.

Latest snowfall forecast for today

With temps in teens and 20s this morning wont take much liquid falling to accumulate. 1/4" liquid at 15:1 ratios = 3.75" of fluffy snow.

The clipper itself is still over Michigan but the snows are ahead of it. High over New England helping with the cold air in place.

Chill to modestly tighten its grip amid gusty

^^

That forecast trend is from last night. I assume it's also a blend of models which is what Skilling usually does

The GFS 00Z run is showing a BIG time cold punch by the 9th

It's close. Lots of Virga in NJ, wow. Snowing in the air but not reaching the ground yet. Has to prime up.

Neat how it suddenly spreads south in PA. Is that something to do with mountains?
