Feb 5-6 Storm Update::

Check out WPC discussion.... Waffles being served for this storm. LOL They are talking about the northern part of the puzzle.

MEANWHILE MODELS/MEANS CONTINUE TO SHOW A GENERAL AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE CROSSING THE EAST... MOST LIKELY BEST DEFINED ACROSS
NORTHERN AREAS... DURING THE WEEKEND IN ASSOCIATION WITH WEAK
SHORTWAVE ENERGY EMBEDDED IN LOW AMPLITUDE FLOW. GUIDANCE
CONTINUES TO WAFFLE REGARDING THE POTENTIAL STRENGTH OF THIS
FEATURE.

TOP CIRCLE(energy from Polar Jet Stream) NEEDS TO MERGE WITH BOTTOM CIRCLE (Southern Jet)

It does but over Nova Scotia. Too late for Northeast! Needs to Merge in Ohio Valley or Mid Atlantic.

Those features aren't even close to being near the U.S yet.

This frame is for 7pm Sunday Feb 5th

National Weather Service Climate

I summed all the daily numbers and for trace I usually add 0.1 guess that's where the discrepancy comes from.

I looked into it because there was No way we were in the 6 to 12 range lol especially where I'm located out in the suburbs lol.

This "****" pattern that's more than 10F above average? I get that your frustrated that really warm temps are so close but statistically you are equally likely to be having highs in the 30's so shouldn't you be happy?

Exactly my thoughts lol.

If it were 10 F below average here I would be happy, I would understand Orlando being 20 F below average would be a tease but I still wouldn't call a **** pattern or whine about it lol.

70s in January is just unrealistic, be happy with the 60s you have. Even Southern Spain doesn't usually get upper 70s in the middle of winter

72F here and 80F inland (If you believe the airport readings). Best part of living on the coast.

Going substantially above average again this week though . Lows in the mid-upper 60's and highs in the mid 70's.

Sunday was an unusual day here though, mid 50's through the afternoon and rain. Sadly I wasn't here to experience it and it was warmer where I was .

Actually no, we average more 70 days for instance than ice days. But upper 70s are record breaking so obviously statistically unlikely.
