You should move to the DFW mentroplex in North Texasoug can grow pansies and ornamental cabbage in the winters down therenot to mention the fact that you can grow many of the cold tolerant varieties of palms, plus a few species of palm trees from warmer climates. The only drawback to the balmy winters is the fact that the summers there can be long and brutal in terms of the hot weather( where weeks of 100+F weather aren't unusual). I think you would overall prefer the year round climate of Dallas,Texas over chilly Long Island,New York.

April colder than December, April's average high is lower than November's average low
Interesting climate there. That would be a very rare ETs classification.

I hate seasonal lag. December would ideally be the coldest month with March being warmer than November. After that, it doesn't matter to much. I just want a quick warmup to start spring and then a gradual slow down until summer with June noticeably cooler than July and August, some continued warmth in September and early October and then a quick drop off heading into winter. Basically like the high plains and mountain west.

National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : Denver, Denver International Airport

I find it hilarious that Denver is seeing it's first 80 F of 2017 around the same time as Phoenix.

We ended up in the neighborhood of 10 in/25 cm of snow Thursday. A fast moving, but good storm. Makes up for all those useless ****ty snowfalls we got earlier this winter.

Last night we got another dusting of snow and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for tomorrow. Next week's highs look seasonal (mid-to-upper 30s).

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
MIDNIGHT EST SUNDAY NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of freezing rain...sleet...and
snow...which is in effect from midnight tonight to midnight EST
Sunday night.

* LOCATIONS...The southern Poconos and far northwest New Jersey.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain...sleet...and snow.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS..Up to 2 inches.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...One-tenth to one-quarter inch.

* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to begin overnight Sunday,
likely in the form of freezing rain. A mixture of freezing rain,
sleet, and snow is expected during the day Sunday. Light
freezing rain could linger into Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Ice and snow accumulations will create treacherous
driving conditions. The weight of the ice on tree limbs and
power lines could produce isolated outages.

* WINDS...East 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph becoming west
10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Sunday evening.

* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 20s and lower 30s.
