Although California will be taking the brunt of the stormy weather, Arizona won't be completely spared.

6am temps this morning.

Northern Michigan is warmer than North Carolina. Another cold morning here.

Yesterday's max temp departures. Look at Iowa! 35-40 degrees above normal! Farmers must be loving the warming!

Is that 97 in Kansas a typo?

Either way, wow! Very impressive warmth for the time of year. 70s into Iowa and Illinois - that's warmer than parts of Florida! The high yesterday at my house was 51*F, which is still above average by more than 20 degrees, so I'm not complaining one bit.

I'm just glad we're finally getting a taste of Spring here in eastern Pa. I checked the garden and the snowdrops and crocus still haven't shown any signs of coming up. That weather pattern on those maps, the wild up and down temperature trough looks like it might spell tornadoes next week. Warm fronts and lows clashing with cold fronts and high pressure. It was 25 degrees this morning but felt warmer thanks to no wind for a change. We've had the cold temps but when we did get precipitation it was just a little too warm so it was rain or mixed.

Warm temps all the way up in northern Michigan, going to be a warm
spring-like weekend for sure.

Maybe some records will be broken.
