Incredible temperatures for us in February. Now forecast 70 degrees on Monday for ORD

Historic late-winter warmth in place well into next week; May-level temperatures will continue to flirt with records; California reeling from effects of season

but could there be a snow by next Saturday?

The airport has only recorded 0.10 inches of rain since January 23. I've had 0.41 inches.

But heavy rain possible early next week.

You're getting more warmth than us, closer to the warm air mass in the Midwest. Similar to late winter/spring 2012. Ithaca had 58°F on Feb 1st, 2012; 57°F the next day. 40s and 30s the second half of the month. March 2012 was 13°F above average

We're about to get that Midwestern warmth now. Buffalo and Rochester in the mid-50s now. Syracuse still stuck at 35

March 2012 was +15.6F above average here. So far this February we are +5.9F above average, but the upcoming 5 days will increase that figure dramatically.

Already up to 57 at 11am! Possible low 60s by midweek. And even better, it's SUNNY. No low 50s and rain this time, high 50s and blue some skies. No more boring ass 30s.

Daily record for today is 62. Might be able to beat it.

Records for the upcoming week:
Today: 62
Sunday: 61
Monday: 62
Tuesday: 73
Wednesday: 67
Thursday: 66
Friday: 70

Today looks like the best chance for a record with an longshot chance on Wednesday and Thursday.

Better hope that this spring and summer isn't reminiscent of 2012

I'm almost 100% sure that it will be the exact opposite of 2012.

At 10:30AM I'm at 59F/15C

I'm hoping it will be something like 2012 but with the center of warmth a bit farther east
