My actual first/last frost dates are very similar to what you want OP. Also the first snowfall... usually comes in just about a week later from what you mentioned. The last snow date is also pretty spot on.
Where are you at? Where I hope to move to has its avg first frost in early October and last in late April, close to your ideal, more than I'd like, but, I'll manage lol.
Ideal first frost: October 15
Ideal last frost: April 15
Actual first average frost: September 15
Actual last average frost: May 25
BTW, there was frost on my car on Aug 22 last year, exactly one year ago.
Seems like my ideal first and last frost matches up pretty nicely with your real life averages lol. You literally just have a five day seasonal delay over my ideals.
First Frost & Snow : July 1st
Last Frost & Snow : June 27
This leaves 3 days in between, one for spring, one for summer (that's 1 too many, anyway) and one for autumn - just to get those irrelevant seasons out of the system.
The reality is much more depressing, though. Our first night frost is around late August and last one, if I recall correctly is around early May, leaving a whopping 90+ days without but a semblance of cold!
In real life the "last" dates are pretty close to what we get on average, but the first are about a month earlier. We used to get October air frosts quite regularly here in the 90s, now we hardly ever do, not sure why this is or how long it will last. Still get them in April almost every year, May occasionally.
