Warm day today. Hit 68° IMBY and 70 scattered around in warmer pockets.
See them? Birds were eating the seeds from the Tall grass plant there. Lots of them chirping and singing today. Squirrels continued to climb Oak trees and bury the acorns as they been for 4 weeks now. (aren't they tired? lol)
I started putting kindling sticks in the buckets for the winter.
Greener than I would've expected at 52°N. Colors seem pretty dull this year, or maybe it's still too early.

Now this is what I call a cycle path. Nei would be happy. Or maybe not, climbing levees doesn't make for a good uphill workout.

Damn. Talking about palms in inappropriate places...
This is a horse chestnut tree. I had no idea it could look that stunning in fall as its parasite does a good job at turning the leaves brown by September. A real shame.
Couple pictures from yesterday around here, Getting close to peak now but its so un-uniform this year.
Red bushes on left are called Burning Bush. Very vivid red when changes in fall. Of course camera doesn't capture it well.
I planted 2 Same Pin Oaks in 2009. They each produce different colors. One more Yellow/Orange the other more Red. Would of liked 2 red ones but I think sunlight is having something to do with it? Or you can just say One is male, One is female.
Geez, looking at those pictures I'd think you live in South Carolina.
I can't see it for some reason.
Wonder why they have Mexican fan palms which would die unprotected even in a warm winter. Still very green here too.
