I also have places where I used to live, a few places where I know people and then I throw in Barrow, Alaska so I can appreciate that I live in Florida. :-)

I often check my former place of residence but that's about it...

I just have where I live on my homescreen, I want quick access to my local weather. In the app itself I have my old hometown and my brother's hometown so I can take a quick glance at how crap those climates are relative to mine.
