A Dfb climate with comfortable summers, cold winters, and precipitation in all seasons. 78/56F (26/14C) in July, 17/-1F (-8/-18C) in January, 32" (800mm) precipitation and 89" (227cm) snowfall. Click the spoiler to view the climate.
I thought you'd like colder winters than that. You must be the forumer whose dream climate is closest to his actual's.
Yes, I don't want guaranteed snow and ice anymore at my location. A coldwave should be something special but with a higher probability than in my real climate. And this dream climate approach is thought to be somewhat realistic, my previous ones had a cold Dec/Jan, then a rapid warm up in spring and yet a rather mild summer which is quite unrealistic. In general I have learned to like my climate how it is and want only smaller changes.
Joe90 likes his climate a lot too iirc.
Edit: and my dream climate has mountains nearby (about 1500 m) to ensure snow whenever I need in winter
