Hottest climate = highest annual average, not highest monthly average; let alone highest monthly average high.

By the way, I think you should consider period of records, as it can heavily screw/bias the figures, and check some places that were overlooked, such as Valledupar, Colombia and surrounding areas.

This is a good article that comprehensively analyses what the hottest places in the world by continent/region are: https://www.wunderground.com/blog/we...al-temperature

Not necessarily, you can have a very mild climate with a very high yearly average, and a continental climate with a very hot summer, but a lower yearly avg than the mild climate. So which one would be hotter? The one that 20-25C all year long or the one that goes 40C+ in the summer but also gets cool/cold winters?

Well, there are various definitions of "hot", and I didn't want to use the yearly mean, I wanted to use the average high in the hottest month

Sorry for the Nitpicking.

Inland Places of Kuwait average higher High Temps than Kuwait City, though there are no averages available for those places.

Mitribah (Kuwaits warmest meteorological station): Synop report summary

Kuwait City International Airport: Synop report summary

Kuwait City (close to the coast): Synop report summary

Where these weather stations are in relation to each other.

Mitribah was the weather station that recorded 54°C this years summer.

There's also places slightly warmer than Ahvaz in Khuzestan, Iran.
