Why? - is it the very sunny summers, the Mediterranean rainfall pattern, or the 19C annual range that make it seem like an Oceanic climate?
I actually got the precipitation amounts from Split, Croatia. And Wikipedia describe it having a borderline humid subtropical and Mediterranean climate. Having said that, I made up the temperatures in my climate.
This climate does seem quite chilly in the winter to be a Mediterranean climate. I wonder what could be grown in the winter.
As long as it's above OC, it can be Mediterranean. As it's got the rainfall pattern and high sunshine indicating sustained high pressure, it can only be cool summer Mediterranean.
Record temperatures aren't too cold, but 3-4 months of such low average minimums/maximums would certainly make it look a lot less Mediterranean than somewhere like Nice.
