Never ever not for a million dollars. I don't care HOW warm a place is, if it's any further north than 38 degrees north it's unacceptable, unless it's in the southern hemisphere which has a stronger sun latitude for latitude

Any place with long cold winters is a good climate to me.

See, climates like Coffs Harbour are at least comfortable and pleasant, yet so many people seem drawn to thee oppressively humid and hot tropical climates. Bizarre.

Asheville, NC has a great climate. Unfortunately it only gets about half the snow I would want

There is a significant amount of elevation variation in that area, including suburbs as high as 915m (3000ft). I'm sure some of the higher areas would have a great deal more snow. When I lived in Ohio there was an "extra-snow microclimate" caused by an elevation increase of just 165m (540ft). Those outer areas are an elevation increase of more than twice that.

Of the major cities, I would choose New York City.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City#Climate

It's hard to find a single best climate, but I like Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I also like Harrisburg, Pennsylvaina.

South Bend, Indiana and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are good too, but might be too cloudy in winter.
