Never ever not for a million dollars. I don't care HOW warm a place is, if it's any further north than 38 degrees north it's unacceptable, unless it's in the southern hemisphere which has a stronger sun latitude for latitude
See, climates like Coffs Harbour are at least comfortable and pleasant, yet so many people seem drawn to thee oppressively humid and hot tropical climates. Bizarre.
There is a significant amount of elevation variation in that area, including suburbs as high as 915m (3000ft). I'm sure some of the higher areas would have a great deal more snow. When I lived in Ohio there was an "extra-snow microclimate" caused by an elevation increase of just 165m (540ft). Those outer areas are an elevation increase of more than twice that.
