Two rather controversial climates. I cannot believe that they haven't battled it out. I'm curious to see how the voting results would look. I would think that Melbourne might lead by a long shot, but "four seasonal" lovers can pick London because it does get snow occasionally. And also, people won't be delighted by Melbourne's drastic temperature swings in the summer. So there is some good competition between the two cities. Which would you go for?
Melbourne is a clear winner for me too. As bipolar it is, the summer is still warmer and sunnier, and also much longer.
I don't care for winter in either city though. London has the damp miserable cold that we have in the UK, and Melbourne, whilst undoubtedly better, has those in between temperatures that I really dislike.
I pick Melbourne by a long shot and I'm not surprised that hardly anyone's voting for London. It won't win with the true four seasons lovers because of the lack of snow most winters: If they can't have snow and a true proper winter, they usually would take more sunshine hours along with more chance for summer heat. London can usually only win polls against extreme climates because of the 'lack of anything really'.
