Sydney region right now:

Relative humidity is around 20-25%, depending on the suburb. So at least we're getting dry heat.

Impressive weather in Melbourne today. Dewpoints up to 26C in Geelong and many 23-25C readings around the suburbs and other parts of central and N/NE Vic. Overnight low was 27.0C to add to the epicness.

We had the humidity yesterday in the Riverland, I was getting 36/23C readings on my PWS at times! Huge thunderstorms went up between here and Adelaide yesterday with frequent lightning as the sun was setting. Had about as much heat and humidity as physically possible to work with, and guess what happened? It all died in the ****ing ASS the moment it came within reasonable distance. Could not effing believe it.

and we got absolutely slammed with storms. I think it's your physical presence that stops the storms.

It's like Melbourne got a raging wake-up call after a bad start to summer. Lol.

Too humid in the past few days. Right now, at 10pm, the temp is 23C with dewpoint of 20C and it's sprinkling. Disgusting.

We have been consistently warm since Christmas Eve with bland and humid 27C days and muggy nights. I'm yearning so badly for a cool southerly change now. I think we're gonna get one tomorrow. Let's hope we do get fresh southerlies soon. Because this is really harrowing. I can't even go outdoors.

Look, If I want to sweat, at least give me 35C+ dry heat instead of this tripe! That's worth sweating for. And it's still somewhat "comfortable", at least when in shade.

We must be polar opposites in this regard.

Anyway, today has been relieving. The temp is 25C and dewpoint is 15C with winds (amazing how a dry-ish 26C feels pleasantly cooler than a humid 22C, which usually feels oppressive). I can finally open my windows and let fresh breezy air in.

Although we could do with some sunshine. But hey, I shouldn't be too spoiled, since I got what I mostly wanted.

How unusual are 18-19C dew points in Sydney? The way you post gives the impression that it almost never happens.
