Still dark here. Went outside to check on the animals. Not very cold, but the ground felt slushy. Got my feet wet. No wind and bright clear sky, nice star gazing weather.

Current temperatures according to my Weather Banner.

Time 6:13 AM Temperature 19 F / -7 C

Odd it feels much warmer and I stepped in liquid water on the ground, I'm confused. Either my Banner is way off or it is a local anomaly..

I'll go back out after Daylight and see "What's Happening"

Snowpacked landscape and sun at times. What a beautiful November day in Minnesota! Looks like they are cleaning up the edges with the plows today

View outside my window, I'd say we got about 4-6 inches. We probably would have gotten more snow depth if not for the fact that a lot of precipitation came down as sleet and only switched to snow Friday evening.

Quite a big change from the last month which has had daily highs consistently in the high 40s to 50s (coldest daily high was 42F) which was pretty crazy considering the average daily high right now should be 30F and even a month ago average daily highs should have been in the low 40s. So we had a full months of consistently 5-15F above average temperatures.

Coming from Southern Ontario (just moved this August) that's definitely not typical. Southern Ontario would have had a lot more fluctuation above and below the average. Southern Ontario even had their first trace amount of snow several weeks ago while Thunder Bay didn't even get a single snowflake before this.

But it feels like winter now, 22F right now.

Out here in the boonies the question is What is a snow plow? I am quite certain that those of us on the dirt farm roads don't have that luxury. However, from the house, the road looks clear. I did see a truck drive by early this morning, so I am assuming the road is passable. The snow in my driveway seems to be pretty well gone.

I'll try to takes some pictures if I walk down to the road.

A look at the Snowpack from Satellite. NW Kansas got in on the action as well.

I wonder if where they got 1-2 feet in Minnesota its not showing a clear flat white area because of the trees its picking up.

Grand Forks, ND got screwed.. Fargo just made it inside the snow zone
