No. So like for u if there were a really warm January in Sydney, and the lowest temp was 20C. Or if there was a really cool summer month you never gets above 30C. So for each month, what is the lowest highest temp in that month or the highest lowest temp.

You guys aren't understanding the thread or perhaps I wasn't clear.

I'm not asking for the warmest minimum temperature or lowest maximum temperature. Those are each for a specific day. What I'm talking about is through a whole month there is a lowest and highest temperature. So what is the lowest the highest temperature in the month has been and what is the warmest that the lowest temperature of the month has been.

For example, December 2015 was incredibly mild in Rochester. It's lowest temperature was -4C. Every other December has gotten colder than -4C so that's what I would put for the highest lowest temp for December.

July 2000 was a very cool month and only made it to 27C. Every other July has exceeded 27C so the lowest record high for July would be 27C.

WHAT THE THREAD IS NOT ABOUT is some day in January that only the lowest DAILY maximum of -20C.

Hope this makes it more clear.

I don't know where to find accessible climate data (or even if they exist), but I remember August 2014 never got above 84*F (29*C) where I live.

You can go to Nowdata for your location or the nearest weather station. Go to monthly summarized data and then put in min temp and daily minimum. Put in POR as the start date. This will show you the coldest minimum temp for each month since observations started. At the bottom, it will say mean, max, and min. The max is what you want. Do the opposite for the coldest highest temp.
