lol. Here in Philly? I mean CT...a sloppy inch or so before changing to sleet then rain. I think this will be 5th time this season that scenario happened. At least I managed 4.5" with the other one.

Future radar loop next 48hrs. I like the backside Lake Effect snows. Maybe I can get an inch from that?

Tucks slides all the time. It's fine for spring skiing when a few weeks of freeze/thaw has stabilized the snow pack but fresh snow on top of windblown slab is very unstable. The freezing level was up over 6,000 feet on Monday in the downpour so that's all glazed crust right now. Other than the Presidentials, there isn't much in the Northeast that gets the windblown into a steep gully that causes the slide risk. Most things are below the tree line.

Avalanches manage to kill people on Mount Washington occasionally. I have a few friends who volunteer patrol there.

.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure over New England moves offshore by morning.
Low pressure moving across Canada will cause a strong cold front to
pass through our region this afternoon. Low
pressure develops along the Mid Atlantic coast Thursday and
rapidly intensifies as it crosses Eastern Massachusetts Thursday
evening, bringing heavy snow well inland and mainly rain along the
coastal plain.

4:30am State College getting moderate snow right now.

Here's a look at the temps for the stations not reporting anything ahead of the moisture. 26° here!
