One more shot for the Northeast before it's most likely over for good

I haven't had a cooler than average spring since 2011. Move those cold anomalies west!

Reached 33 today, first time above freezing in 5.5 days. Blue dome skies too and it felt quite nice. The snowpack is 22" now and it's still white and not too slushy. The snow isn't beautiful with the sun and lack of slush and mud. Certainly beats the overcast 20s with flurries that had come for a few days before.

We cracked the freezing mark today as well...a day earlier than expected, but only got up to 37 F/3 C. Despite it being mid-March, the snow is having a difficult time melting. Might get a couple more inches of snow this weekend and after a brief "warm up" early next week, highs are expected to be near freezing again later in the week. MTD average max is only 40 F/4 C and average min 23 F/-5 C.

High temperature finally cracked the 40 degree mark today, the first such day in about a week. Forecast highs for tomorrow have been lowered to the mid 40's, and then a couple of chilly days for the weekend by mid March standards, highs might reach the lower 60's on Monday, then after that, its back to highs at or below seasonal averages

I'm a little too lazy to look it up

Still, I'm happy I got this after that crappy *** February. I'll probably post some pics of the freeze damage in the picture thread tomorrow.
