Lol, that would suck! People down here really think NYC is an icebox, most think it doesn't get warm till may! Only would serve to further perpetuate that stereotype.
Lol calling it can ice box is an exaggeration, but I would say it doesn't get reliably warm until May and June. There can still be cool shots in April.
Would be awesome if an April 2007 on steroids happened, with the same averages as January
Oh god, you are talking about -21 degrees, if that happened I think America would lose an entire years crop and what would ensue... March 1960 was -16 degrees... that's the biggest anomaly for a month, hope we eventually get a winter month to replicate it with +16.

Haha! You know I'm down. Sadly I don't think that would be possible at this latitude so late in the year, but I think having an April that is cooler than an average March would be possible.

March 1960 was absolutely ridiculous, I even read a story from back then (forgot which website) from a guy that lived in the North GA mountains that snow stuck around in the shade nearly all month.....

Happened before.... -11 degree anomaly in April but yet warmest is +4

March 1960 here was only slighly above an average January with a mean high of 37 F/3 C and low of 16 F/-9 C. A few 60 degree days at the end of the month wrecked it from being even colder.
MTD we're running at 40 F/4 C for the high and 22 F/-6 C. Not bad at all.

I'd be down too.
I wish the warm up in Spring was more gradual, with it getting hot fast in May/June.

I know my preferences are odd lol
Yeah, for some reason I seem to enjoy cold and snow more in March and April than during the winter. I think it's because I know warm weather is around the corner so I appreciate it more.
I'm not really interested in any warm weather until May and June and even then I'm talking about barely cracking 70 lol.

March 1960 in Nashville had an average high of 44 F/7 C when the average high is about 60-61 F
If it weren't for the warm days in the last few days of the month, it's possible the average high could have been about 40 F, or a full-blown 20 F below average. The persistence of cold that month was impressive down south.
Your average March is 47/25 right?
