Still really ****ty though, 2.2F above average to date, last year was actually cooler (1.3F above average). The last year with a below average April was 2012.
I was living in Ft. Myers during April 2012. I remember it dropping to the low 50s on like April 17th.
Yeah, this April is mostly above normal because of the hot days we had in the beginning of the month. We got a nice cool snap that dropped temps to 55 F and since then it's been mostly in the low 80s with dews in the 50s/low 60s and breezy. Not too bad.
Ongoing snow and cold across central Alberta today. Edmonton is -3°C at 5pm. Someone declared a local state of emergency in East central Alberta after the power went out.
Yeah, that and we should see mid 80's tomorrow. It's 53F in Manhattan right now and I almost feel hot with my light jacket open, the sun is quite strong this time of year.
Yeah I was outside all day yesterday and today and I think a got a little color.
Still a mild 62 F/17 C at 11PM after a high of 67 F/19 C. Warm tomorrow with a forecast high of 83 F/28 C.
We had a summer-like pattern yesterday with isolated to scattered convection coming out of the south. I had some brief rain after lunch, but it looked like the thunderstorms mostly stayed to my east.
So far in April, the airport has only recorded 2 precip days, but one of those days had 9.10 inches! April is actually the month with the fewest days of precip on average, although it's one of the more active months for severe storms.
Looks like highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's forecast all week here. The warmest is 85F on Friday.
