I would give it an A-. Love the cool summers. Just wish we had snow more often than once every 50 years.

If we had snow and freezing temps it would get an A+.

Let me guess, Poway? Or possibly Fallbrook?

Smile Trees on street

They are quite beautiful! Dogwoods I think. They aren't as hardy as I use to think. They die off leaving half alive and half dead...not a pretty sight. Tallahassee used them a lot years ago but not as much now. My neighbor has a beautiful one that takes my breathe away when it blooms each year. I love it. It is whilte with flowers.

B minus

I like most the year, only march and April could be a bit warmer,
I'm happy with the other 10 months.

My climate gets a C. The high variability of spring raises it up from what would otherwise be a C-.
Overall, it's tolerable, I guess. Far better than many other places for sure, but also quite far from the ideal.

Oh, also -

What he meant is that he thinks it's dark, both because of few daylight hours, and because there's usually no snow on the ground, and also it's pretty cold. Coldness and darkness without even any snow to brighten up the environment and mood. At least that's my guess as to why he doesn't think it's as nice as you might think it is.

There's way too many adjustments needed to be made to this climate to even make it a C climate.
Ouch. At least an E- for the chances of cold snaps that you guys can get. Lol.

B

The main issues are that it's too warm especially during winter, and snow is too rare.

Also, I would prefer more precip days during summer. The annual number of thunderstorm days is decent.

Interesting weather events occur occasionally. The severe risk is manageable, with major tornadoes quite rare.
