I rate this climate a C/C+. Most of the year is good, our summers are reliably hot/very warm and humid, we have evenly distributed precipitation, we experience a wide range of weather phenomena, it's fairly sunny, and at 40 degrees (latitude) the sun still feels like something in the dead of winter.

The drawbacks for me are that our winters are too cold/cool for my liking, and we've seen an increase in snowfall lately (along with temps). I hate winter and early spring cold snaps. And it'd be nice if spring could get the ball rolling a little quicker.

They've been severely lacking lately which may have affected my grade a bit.

Still, even with the "cold snaps" it's still maybe an F+ at best. Our proneness to winter heat really is appalling.

E. Even our winters are too warm for what I would consider a decent summer (but they are a lot more variable, of course).

Seattle is a C. Wet/cloudy winters with occasional sun. Mild summers.

B+/A- for my climate. Summer nights can be chilly at times.

When I was in Seattle, I would give it a D+, way too much rain and clouds for me. Right now I'm working in Kuwait City and I would give it about a C+. I plan to move to Richland, Wa in a few months and I would give it a C+ as well.

Best climate I've ever spent time in is Arequpa, Peru. Worst is probably Mongolia.

E for Brighton... the reason is quite simple, the summer doesn't feel real & hot and winter doesn't feel like winter either.

I'd rate my climate a D, personally. Winters are too cold and long, and summers can be a bit weak.

That being said, there are some very good years and some very bad years, just like anywhere else. Some years might rate a C, but others might fail outright (like 2014, when the warmest temperature I recorded the whole year was only 89*F).

I'll give my climate a C-, though in the past two years it has been more of a D+.

We get a bit of everything, but falling short in every part. Too short and cool summers, too short shoulder seasons, too much uneventful winters.

What is a plus is that we get a taste of everything. Windstorms, heatwaves, thunderstorms, blizzards, but it doesn't require any special precautions. Our climate is very safe.

What we are lacking are longer shoulder seasons, warmer summers, variability in the weather and geographical differences.
