Flying over the the region yesterday. The first photo shows the only non coastal town in the region. the last two show looking towards Motueka and coming into land at Nelson. The middle photos shows typical geography of the interior of the region -completely snow free at present, but very different during winter.

Good to be back. Skies are a deeper blue here than inland Victoria, but it's certainly chillier.

The cold front reached souther patagonia producing some snow in the Ushuaia area:

Here today was the coldest day of the year so far. Max of only 19ºC. And Buenos Aires province was close to see its first annual frost, with Tandil recording a min of 0.5ºC. So, fall is at its fullest across the country. The trees in La Cumbrecita, Córdoba, agree with that:

Coldest day of the year so far here. Max of 17.9ºC, with persistent drizzle. A cold air mass is reaching us from Patagonia:

That cold front has produced some snow in northern Patagonia and the central sierras of Córdoba province. Photos:

Almost a winter day here today. Max of 16.9ºC and it felt lower due to the high cool winds.

Coldest morning of the year in Southern Brazil, the first negative temperatures were registered on the Southern Highlands with the lowest being -1.1C/30F at Morro da Igreja,SC(1800m of altitude),it also registered -19C of windchill due to the high winds.
For tomorrow it will be even colder than today because of the center of high pressure who will pass through the southern region, with calm winds and clear skies, temperatures will fall below freezing again with 0C/-5C being expected on the highest places, it is the time to trees shutdown until September there.
