Subarctic polar arctic crap. Especially when early May was quite chilly.
Humid continental crap does the same thing. Looks about like our season progression, maybe a slow spring; but that's what we'll have again.

We had some budding in late February in SE PA but there hasn't really been any sign of Spring in March. There's one tree with nice pink flowers but that's it. Meanwhile at home the trees area just about all leafed out.

The first trees are budding. This is fairly early, so assume it is related to the mild weather.

I'm thinking blooms on most of the ornamental trees/shrubs with many of the native trees lagging behind, maybe due to their larger size, they just seem to take their time in most cases.

Most Forsythias are blooming now, and I've seen a few of Magnolias blooming, Weeping Cherry trees are starting to as well. I'm also seeing tiny leaves some deciduous shrubs.

You reminded me... I saw a Magnolia down the road, let me go snap a pic. And yeah, Forsythias have their yellows showing here. Next week it will finally feel and look like Spring.

It's only certain trees that are leafing out here. There used to be a tree with maroon leaves in my garden that wouldn't bloom to Early May, so it's really dependent on the species.

It's probably going to be Mid-April before we see the majority of leaves out here.

Same here! Buds are everywhere, though it will take a bit longer here as highs are hardly reaching 50's F. But no lows below freezing either.
