The Swedish Heatwave 2014 please as well as March 2014. The prior because it was a great sunny and warm summer, and March because it was consistently warm and our snow melted in the beginning of the month leading to an early and long spring.
Purely from a weather enthusiast's point of view I would say 12th January 1987, the day it never got above -8.8C where I live and supposedly the coldest day across much of England since 1740. It seems a waste to be able to say something that rare happened during my lifetime yet I have absolutely no memory of it.
Heat records don't seem that interesting to me since we can be pretty confident they'll happen again sooner or later.
I'd like to see our all-time record high of 34.4C broken. Highest in August 2003 was only 32C, and 33C in July 2015.
Heat records are much easier to break than cold records though, and we've come close to our all-time record high numerous times. Out of all the records we can break, I think the all-time heat record is definitely the easiest one to reach. This year marks 27 years.
The summers of 1997 and 2002 are probably the most interesting ones I've experienced - although my memory of the former is very vague for age reasons obviously.
Stockholm recorded a 24.4C avg high in July and 26.1C avg high for August '97.
The same location had a 23.5C avg high in July and 26.4C avg high for August '02.
Those two years are the only ones in my life where the mean has been within my ideal range for both July and August the same year, I'd like to have a similar year to that again. Too often when we've had a warm July then August tails off too quickly.
The week of August 4 to August 10, 1975, when Stockholm had a 32.6C avg high I'm also sure was exciting but perhaps too sweaty without AC Thing is that subtropical air masses feel unreal when they arrive here. Last summer Norrköping had a 32.6C high on Aug 26 whereas here it was only 25-ish (unbelievable, I was in Norrköping that noon and travelled back just before it skyrocketed). Late that evening that hot air came through strong westerlies. I've never experienced anything as weird as a 24.5C reading at 10:20 pm on Aug 26 on this latitude with such low humidity as well! That's also something very interesting I'd like to experience again!
The record high here is from 1914, so it's about time it's broken... It's also the oldest record there is for Turku.

The 21.9C daily mean for Linköping's July from 1901 (!) is also fairly rediculous anomaly as a nationwide record. Take into account that the weather station in particular is also at a higher ground than the city centre, likely losing 0.3C at the very least. Not even Lund in 2006 managed to beat that. Maybe the next heat wave? We're long overdue a "subtropical month" somewhere.

Highest monthly mean in Finland and the Nordic Countries is the 23.0C recorded in Puumala E Finland in that year 2010 I mentioned.
