We had 5.11" of rain here on June 6th followed by another 3.90" on the 7th lol, we had pretty bad flooding also, our drainage systems suck ass. We've had nearly 20" of rain this June so far which is almost double the monthly amount and we're only halfway through the month!

More storms today?

Lol, you guys have really been getting screwed over on the SE part of the metro. We had a wave come in from the Gulf that dropped torrential rainfall here yesterday for over an hour around 7 PM, and then it drizzled all the way to almost midnight. The PWS in my neighborhood is up to almost 20" of rainfall this month, and I have no reason to believe that it's inaccurate (I actually now the guy who owns that PWS, he lives literally about 500 feet from me lol). We've been getting hit here with more frequent and heavier rainfall than HWO and points east.

76 and sunny with a 68 dew already. It only went down to 67 this morning.

The airport only recorded 0.88" yesterday but the two nearest PWS to me recorded 2.11" and 1.66".

Was it full sun though? Lucky you if it was. Yesterday was heavenly with the dry air so no complaints.. I had 70s but with clouds around most of day.

Here's a timelapse of my sky yesterday. Interesting reoccurrence in same spot at 12:30pm.

1/4ths would be about 4.6" of rain which is still a lot. Rainy heavily here right now to add to those monster totals.
Ha! I forgot you were in the vincinity a couple weeks ago. Yeah generally in early summer convection over the mountains is a daily occurrence, then it dwindles a bit in midsummer to pick up again in early autumn but by then clouds usually form over the sea. Then the real stuff begins. These past 2 years we've had a couple decent storms down to the coast in June though, definitely different from July it seems.

Inland areas can still get monster totals in June from stationary tstorms or storm bands, even though it's quite rare. In 2010 Les Arcs between Nice and Le Luc got 16" in a couple days, from which 12 in half a day.

Btw dews picked up a bit again today, first 72°F in Nice and first 73°F in Cannes.

you got interesting weather patterns for a low temperature & daily variabilty climate. How far inland do you have to go to early summer storms regularly. I assume mid summer has fewer storm than early summers as high pressure is stronger blocking convection?
