Wow, Fresno was supposed to be 108 degrees today! It might not go past 100. Perfect timing, as I'm getting my AC fixed.
I hope this unexpected cooldown lasts for a while, so tired of seeing 100s

Looks like rain now, as of this writing, I am out to dinner right now, kind of hoping that this pop up thunderstorm passes me by, as I walked to my dinner restaurant and so I will be walking back in a bit. Today was not a very hot day, at least not by North Texas standards, it is very humid though, with current dews in the low to mid 70's.
Florida doesn't have as much high pressure influence, so more days of scattered convection. It also seems pretty widespread often.
Even when there is no high pressure influence, the summer storms that form are still such that areas get missed. Something special has to enhance the storm coverage in Florida such that they have a strong peak, beyond just the normal sea-breeze development.
