With nothing in the 10 day above 84, I think it's a serious possibility that 87 will be stay the highest temp his month And there's no highs below 74 in the 10 day so there's no interesting cold either. Just boring af high 70s and low 80s day in and day out Our summers aren't particularly interesting but there's usually a few days in the 90s or low 70s. This is exceptionally stable.

Reason: Apparently yesterday hit 87
Parked under some trees I walked through a freshly paved parking lot into a store. Definitely Summer out there. lol The heat coming off the pavement was suffocating coupled with the humidity in the air.

I like looking at 10 or 11am and 6 or 7pm to get a better sense of how hot it is. A max temp could simply be 30 minutes worth or 3 hours but looking at those shoulder times seeing mid 80s, you know it was a long hot day.
87° IMBY at 1pm now. Dew of 68°.

I was looking at those graphs yesterday. Good timing. So far above normal dews for here this month. Doesn't feel like it though since we had some nice breaks.
Last time we were below normal was 2007. 2009 was normal.
Temps rebounded from this morning's storms. Both MDW and ORD are at 87F, and IKK is at 86F at 1pm. Dew point is 73F at ORD, 74F at MDW, and 75F at IKK.
90 F with a 76 F dew point here, pretty standard summer day. Another day with 70% chance of storms
and I thought a 67°F dewpoint was high. Went for a morning bike ride in 74°F and 67°F dewpoint. Was drenched with sweat on the uphill, dripping into my eyes. Stopped on a downhill in the shade for 10 minutes and it felt very pleasant.
67 with a 60 dew now. A thunderstorm came through around 1 but then faded to moderate rain for another 2 hours. 0.51" fell confirming the 7th straight month with above average rainfall.
