This mornings Upper Level pattern. The Pacific moisture isn't hitting California because of the Ridge acting like a wall. It's why Seattle is breaking record warm and dry days now.
Look what else showing up AGAIN!! Upper Low this time in Canada but its pushing the Jet south carving out a trough in the East.
I see why the Southeast has been torching. The SER always seems to be a around but it doesn't want to fight the Upper Lows to the north so the heat has stayed south of the Mid Atlantic.
Fog and moisture trapped between the Trough and the SER with some gulf moisture continuing to be pulled up.
Back in the winter we were getting Pacific moisture.. This spring we have gotten more moisture from the Gulf than the Pacific due to the pattern.
Awful start to June... Hints of at least some warming beyond that tho.
