Interesting that Seattle has never gotten a completely rain free July before as Vancouver had one in 2013. I know most years we come close, but normally end up with around 10-20mm.
Looks like a massive heatwave is coming up for the NW next week, with temps potentially pushing over 36C(97F) inland from Vancouver for 3 days. Portland could potentially get up over 42C(107F)!
There have been several Julys, Augusts and Septembers without measurable precipitation. The most recent ones are July 2013, August 2012 and now most likely July 2017.

GREAT CALL!!!!!!!!! Wow! And just like that overnight updates not only shows a more south storm, but there is a lack of precip around.
Holy BUST Batman!! Imagine if this was winter and snow total forecast went from 6-12" to 1-3" within 12 hrs????? Rain totals have dropped big time. 3-5" to now under 1" in spots.
There will still be heavy rains somewhere but its not looking widespread now. And Long Island misses rains. Pretty sure a drizzle or showers will still happen though.
NAM, GFS, Canadian, and Euro shown here for Saturday morning
Edit::: Here's NWS Philly mentioning the changes but also continuing to mention flooding for some.. Interesting to note why it shifted south. Read.
Wow lol. It's hard to go against the trend though, only 0.10" here. Sun is slowly making its way out, it's in the 70's now. Winds still roaring out of the north.
Yesterday's full fetch north winds have churned up the lake and dropped water temps. I believe Chicago shoreline water temps peaked at 77F or 78F last week so far this summer.
Noon and 76F/24C
One thing about Canadian highs is almost zero clouds or haze in the sky. Outside my house at 11AM. Don't know why it's flipped sideways
For someone who wants warm/hot weather in the summer this 6-10 day is just awful
Actually, it's perfect for my corner of northeast Georgia. Dry air, no chance of rain until next Friday, morning lows in the lower to mid-60s, and afternoon highs in the mid- to upper 80s.
As of this week, I am no longer in the mood for summer weather, and I hope that this cooler-than-normal pattern is a harbinger of things to come for the rest of the year. Between this and the start of NFL training camps, I'm ready for fall now.

Oh man you just brought that feeling onto me. Fall! Where's that Fall thread.

Yup, cold fronts rarely dive down south in Summers so enjoy it.
Crazy again today. Understand we haven't had a 7 day stretch like this at the end of July in decades. Feels so weird! Feels like September. Winds off the Ocean and temps in the 70s.
Cloudy haze this morning just gave way to bright blue skies. Humidity feels low for summer
